As part of our first day of this residency, and our orientation to this program and facilities, we meet the "Tipping Floor" at the Astoria Transfer Station, where I will be for three months collecting materials to take to the studio.
We were only at the Transfer Station a few hours on our first day, Orientation Day, but I found lots of materials to take to the studio. At the end of the day I made a trash-sled to drag materials down to the car.
